About IPA Consultancy

My name is Ian-Paul Ashworth and this is the website of IPA Consultancy. I was previously based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, but am now located in Forres, Morayshire. I have over 16 years’ experience of working for and supporting voluntary and community groups, charities and public sector organisations throughout the UK, but I can help just about any organisation which wants to:

Improve its systems and ways of working;
more efficiently and effectively; and
better results for its stakeholders.

Until March 2009, I worked for the South Yorkshire Quality Project, based at Voluntary Action Sheffield. Since then I have run IPA Consultancy, specialising in monitoring and evaluation; quality assurance support; policy and procedure development; and proofreading services. I’m a former licensed PQASSOPQASSO is the Practical Quality Assurance System for Small Organisations, a system developed specifically for voluntary and community organisations by Charities Evaluation Services mentor, but that’s just one of the systems I can advise on. IPA Consultancy is also a one-stop shop for a whole range of other services which can help your organisation to thrive. Check out the Services page for more details.

As a quality assurance professional, I recognise the importance of establishing a sound base from which to work. IPA Consultancy is therefore committed to:

  • Empowering people and organisations to develop their abilities, skills and knowledge.
  • Treating everyone fairly and promoting diversity and equal opportunities.
  • Designing and implementing systems and processes for organisations which are appropriate and meaningful to all stakeholders. In practice, this means systems which are as clear and uncomplicated as possible.
  • Maintaining client confidentiality at all times.
  • Offering a high-quality service which gives value for money.
  • Being environmentally aware in its activities.

IPA Consultancy carries both professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
