IPA Consultancy article in ACEVO ‘Valuing Performance’ publication

IPA Consultancy has had its first article published! It’s included in a document called ‘Valuing Performance: making the case for investing in performance management’, which is now available from the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary organisations (ACEVO) – see the ‘Links and Resources’ page for a link to the relevant page of their website.

The piece (‘Investing in the front line: the benefits outweigh the costs’) is actually a shorter and somewhat rearranged version of an article I was asked to write for the National Performance Programme about the work of the South Yorkshire Quality Project (until a few weeks ago, I was employed by this project as a Quality Development Officer). The article focuses on the value of providing dedicated quality assurance support to frontline voluntary sector organisations. As such, it looks at the benefits reported by clients, but also covers some of the problems encountered by SYQP.

The full article should appear in a National Performance Programme publication in the near future. In the meantime, please have a look at the ACEVO report (which contains some useful stuff) and let me know what you think.

By the way, no one can accuse me of not recycling… I’ve entirely rewritten the piece, this time focussing on the use of PQASSO with frontline voluntary sector organisations, for possible inclusion in the next edition of the ‘PQASSO Mentor’ newsletter!
